Chairman's Message

My dear Share Holders, Staff & Clients of the Bank,

It was a matter of honour for me to assume the responsibility of The Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jammu as Administrator on 03-12-2016. The Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jammu is the first and largest urban Cooperative Bank in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. I thank the Government of J&K particularly Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K for having faith in me and trusting me with such responsibility of leading the Bank. This casts upon me the responsibility of leading you in the march towards the achievement of new milestones of growth & development of the Bank.

I am assuming this responsibility when we cannot afford even a bit of laxity in our sustained efforts and have set in motion a greater momentum for the improvement in our net results so as to place our bank on a firm foundation.

My prime motive for sending this message to you is not customary only but to share some very important concerns which need immediate attention. The gravity of situation demands that the following areas should need our immediate attention with specific and purposeful action:

Deposits:

Since the deposit provides a raw material for our operational cycle. Every one at the branch from Peon to Branch Manager has to contribute in achieving the targets. Comfortable cost of funds is very important for a bank, as such the 60% mobilization of deposits should be in CASA for healthy net interest margin of the Bank.

Advances:

Advances are the asset of the bank representing the main earnings towards profitability. We have to put our best efforts for achieving the target & creating our asset base of best quality.

NPA MANAGEMENT:

Our bank is having very thin margin & cannot afford the Non Performing Assets. Close monitoring is needed to arrest the fresh slippage and place in action the immediate remedial measures.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Whatever the efforts we may put for achieving the targets, the result will be zero if we ignore the main person i.e customer, because he is the centre of all our business achievements. If we take up personal responsibility of improvement in customer service. I am sure we will overcome all hurdles in achieving our goals.

While sharing the above concerns with you, I assure you that as a team leader, I will always be available for support & guidance in our march towards the achievement of our business goal.

Sh. Parveen Kumar Sharma

Chairman,
(The Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jammu)
